I am a published journalist: The Economist's More Intelligent Life (now 1843), the LA Times, the LA Weekly, Punch Drink, Buzzbands & the Young Presidents Organization.
A short story writer: Slake, Swivel, Fresh Yarn.
I was a finalist in the Sundance screenwriting competition for my feature script, “What Makes Her Tic.” A finalist in the Sundance New Frontiers competition for my multi-platform project, “Glass Half Full.” A finalist in the Slamdance screenwriting competition for my hour-long dramatic TV script, “The Foundry” and a Hollywood Screenplay Contest winner for my half-hour animated TV script, “Exene vs. the Zombies”.
My former band’s music has been heard on shows like American Idol, Glee, CSI Miami, The Vampire Diaries and MTV as well as in the movie, For A Good Time, Call.
In the summer of 2015 I attended Breadloaf.
In the summer of 2016 I attended The Iowa Writers Workshop.
I just wrapped up the Tin House workshop which was my favorite of all-time.
I'm working my first novel and am pretty excited about it. Most of the time.
